Following the success of the initial ROSIICAM rollout, Transport for NSW has expanded the program to monitor a wider range of high-risk sites across the state. The project continues to use Real Time Traffic’s NearMiss technology to detect near-misses, unsafe behaviour, and crash events using AI-powered video analytics.

Real Time Traffic is delivering a fully managed solution, handling everything from deployment and data collection to processing and dashboard reporting. This includes installation of portable camera towers, automated video review, and the delivery of curated footage and insights via RTT’s secure platform.

The rollout is already underway, with five sites currently being processed and more scheduled in the coming weeks. Each deployment provides time-stamped footage of risk events, along with supporting data on vehicle movements, pedestrian activity, and incident patterns.

Privacy remains a key consideration, with all video automatically de-identified before analysis. By capturing risk that traditional audits and crash data miss, ROSIICAM continues to strengthen the evidence base for safety improvements across New South Wales.
